SurfPulse (“we”, “us”) operates the SurfPulse website and app. Contact us anytime at hello@surfpulselive.com.

To run the app we may collect:

• Surf reports you submit: condition, crowd, an optional note, and an optional photo or video.
• An anonymous session ID stored in your browser so we can show you your own past reports and avoid duplicate views.
• Approximate location (only if you allow it) to show the nearest spot.
• Basic device info (browser type, language) and standard server logs for security and reliability.
• Account email only if you create an admin account.

• To calculate live surf scores for each spot.
• To show recent reports to other surfers checking that spot.
• To detect spam, abuse, or unsafe content.
• To keep the service working and improve it over time.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. We don't run third-party ad networks inside SurfPulse.

When you post a report, the condition, crowd, note, photo/video, and a fun sea-creature avatar are visible to anyone checking that spot. Don't post anything you wouldn't want public.

We use trusted services to host the app, store media, and deliver live ocean data (for example, weather and tide providers). They only process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms.

SurfPulse is family-friendly, but kids under 13 should use it with a parent or guardian. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal info with us, email us and we'll remove it.

• You can decline location access at any time in your browser.
• You can clear your session by clearing your browser storage.
• You can ask us to remove a report or photo you submitted — email hello@surfpulselive.com.

We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is 100% secure. Please keep your account credentials (if any) private.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the date at the top whenever we do.
